For some reason the main floor tiles come out looking a bit pinkish in the photos, but they don't look like that in the flesh/ceramic.

Walk through complete
So we had the walk through this morning. Everything looked good. Went round and looked at everything in detail and put purple sticky tape where the paintwork needed touching up, and made notes of a couple of downlights not working - presumably just need new bulbs.
The driveway is still not finished because of the rain we've had this week, but that's scheduled for early next week wether permitting. So we'll obviously have to check that before making final payment. Also found out the appliances go in after handover which is fine with us - less chance of them being nicked if the place is occupied.
I tried to take a few photos, but the batteries in my SLR packed in after two shots. :(
Looking forward to getting the keys and moving in.

Walk Through Next Friday!
Just found out that our walk through will happen next Friday! The build will have only taken about 4 months allowing for the xmas shutdown. Amazing. :)

Another shot of the front
Here's another shot of the front of the house with the garage and doors closed. We're not sure if the front door should be a light colour, to match the garage, or whether it's ok like it is. Watch this space. The photos are off a camera phone so are poor quality.

Painting, Plumbing, Splashback
So the painting has been started on the inside, the plumbers have put baths, toilets & taps in. The kitchen splash back is also on. It seems that something has been happening on site almost everyday. Full credit to our site supervisor for organising everyone so well.
So straight on to the photos...

Small update
So a few more bits and pieces have been done this week, so here's a few photos.
The Ice Snow caeserstone benchtops have gone in and look very nice from what we can see under the sheeting.
And here's the waterfall end that we paid extra for.
And in case you haven't seen enough yet, another kitchen shot.
Tiling in the laundry.
Our SS arranged for this angled piece of gyprock under the stairs to be extended so it's flush with the ends. See photo below of what it looked like before. This was done at no expense to us and we didn't even ask for it to be done. A small change, but I definitely think the end result looks better.

Lots Happening!
It's been a while since the last post, but there's been plenty happening on site.
We got a call from our SS last Friday and the update was, front doors now on and the waterproofing has been done. We have reached lock up stage! The pictures will be bad quality 'through the window shots' from now on.
Got another call from our SS today (take note other builders!) advising that the Kitchen would be going in, and would we like to meet on site tomorrow. Yes please!
When we went to have a look this evening we got a nice surprise... the kitchen cabinets are all done, the internal doors are in with some of the architraves, and it looks like the tiles have all been delivered and are ready to go. Also the balcony railings are in. We paid a bit extra to upgrade them to a polished chrome finish and they look very nice and shiney indeed. :)
Ok so on to the important stuff... the photos.
